Thai steamed fish in a chili lemon sauce



This delicious steamed fish is a true winner ! It’s healthy , delicious and can be prepared in under 20 minutes. It makes for a perfect quick and easy lunch or dinner and pairs very well with a simple salad , fried rice , pasta or noodles.








Some of the ingredients used in this recipe are







Ingredients for the dressing


Lemon juice- 1

Garlic- 1 tsp

Kaffir lime leaves- 2 finely chopped

Thai chili- 1 chopped

Lemongrass- 1 tsp

Parsley- 1 tsp

Fish sauce- 1 tbsp

Palm sugar/Jaggery powder- 2 tsp


Directions


Combine all the above ingredients in a bowl ,mix it well and keep it aside.


Ingredients for the fish


1.3-4  fillets/200 gm of white firm fish-

2.2 cloves of garlic (minced)

3.2 tablespoons olive oil

4.Salt and pepper to taste

5.Fresh parsley (chopped) for garnish

6.Kaffir lime leaves- 2 chopped



Ingredients for the garnish (Do add this- as this adds a lot of flavour to this dish)


1.Lemongrass (chopped and soaked in olive oil for 30 minutes. (This makes it soft and easier to chew).


2.Fried garlic -a a few cloves sliced and lightly fried.


Directions


Marinade the fish and keep it aside for 15 minutes in the fridge. Steam it until it’s well cooked. Once done, transfer it in a serving plate, garnish it with peppers, chopped lemongrass and fried garlic .
