Tandoori Paneer Tikka is a very popular Indian appetiser in which the paneer/cottage cheese is marinated with yogurt and Indian spices. It’s got a very rich and creamy texture and can be cooked using a tandoor or an oven.
Some of the ingredients used in this recipe are
Ingredients for the 1st marination
Paneer -1/2 kg
Ginger garlic paste -1 tbsp
Tikhalal chili powder-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Lemon juice-1/2 tsp
Ingredients for the 2nd marination
Hung curd -120 gm
Ginger garlic paste -1tbsp
Garam masala -1/2 tsp
Cumin powder -1 tsp
Tikhalal red chilli powder-1 tsp
Mustard oil-1 tsp
Salt- to taste
Red chili paste -1 tbsp
Raw mango powder /amchur -1/4tsp
Chaat masala -1/4 tsp
White pepper powder-1/2tsp
Tandoori masala-1/2 tsp
Coriander powder -1/2 tsp
Lemon juice -2 tsp
Directions
1.In a bowl add all the ingredients from the 1st marination and mix it well. Keep it aside for 15 minutes.
2.In another bowl add all the ingredients from the 2nd marination and add it to the 1st marination and mix it well.
3.Pre heat oven for 10 minutes at 180C.
4.Bake the paneer for 20-25 minutes or until cooked .
5.Once done , transfer it into a serving dish and garnish with onion rings, mint leaves and lemon wedges . Serve hot with mint chutney .
