Prawns cooked in a vindaloo masala is classic and amazing Goan dish where succulent and juicy prawns are cooked in a spicy, tangy and fiery sauce. No Goan meal is complete without this amazing dish.

Ingredients
1.Goan vinegar/brown vinegar-1/2 cup
2.Kashmiri chillies-12
3.Garlic-12
4.Mustard seeds-1/2 tbsp
5.Black peppercorns-1/2 tsp
6.Ginger-2'' inches
7.Cumin seeds-1/2 tbsp
8.Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
9.Salt -to taste
10.Water-enough to blend and make a smooth
and thick paste
11.Olive oil-1tbsp
12.Ginger garlic paste-
13.Curry leaves-5-6
14.Jaggery powder-1 tsp
15.Prawns-with shell- 5-6 medium size
16.Tomato ketchup-2-3 tbsp
17..Curry leaves and lemon wedges for garnishing
Method
1.In a blender add all the ingredients from (no. 1-10) and blend it well until its a smooth paste.
2.In a pan,add oilve oil,add the curry leaves,jaggery powder and the grounded masala and cookit for a few minutes. Add the prawns and cook them for 3-4 minutes or until done. Add little tomato ketchup for an extra tangy flavour
3.Garnish with lemon wedges and curry leaves.Serve hot.
