Pasta in white sauce with brocolli & mushrooms



This creamy & delicious white sauce pasta is made without using refined flour, is a healthier version, can be prepared in no time and is an absolute favourite amongst kids.






Some of the ingredients used in this recipe are





Ingredients

Olive oil -2 tbsp

Butter -1.5 tbsp

Onion (finely chopped)-1/2

Whole wheat flour -4 tbsp

Milk -500ml while making the sauce ,200ml after straining the sauce.

Mushrooms -5-6 sliced

Broccoli -8-10 florets(blanched)

Salt & black pepper to taste

Cheese -1 cup or as per taste


Directions


1.In a pan add olive oil, garlic ,mushrooms and sauté it for a few minutes until the mushrooms are cooked and keep it aside .


2.In another pan , add olive oil, butter , garlic , onions ,whole wheat flour and let it cook for a minute or two. This mixture will start looking very dry and lumpy . Add milk and let it cook for 8-10 minutes on medium heat stirring continuously and until the sauce thickens.


3.Once done , use a strainer and strain this sauce gently in a big bowl.


4.In another pan, transfer this sauce ,add milk, salt ,pepper and cheese and mix it well.


5.Cook pasta of your choice following the packet instructions.


6.Add mushrooms ,broccoli and cooked pasta to this sauce and give it a good mix. Serve hot.
