Pasta in a tomato sauce with mushrooms and fresh basil



Making pasta sauce from scratch is surprisingly easy. Once you try it, you'll wonder why you were so dependent on store bought pasta sauces. This is a quick ,healthy & delicious recipe which you can quickly prepare in no time, is very healthy and super delicous.






Some ingredients used in this recipe are





Ingredients


Olive oil -3-4 tbsp

Tomatoes-10

Garlic -15

Basil -1 cup

Salt and pepper to taste

Good quality Penne pasta -200 gm

Mushrooms- 150gm

Parmesan cheese - as per taste


Directions


1. In a saucepan, add water & let it boil . Add the tomatoes and let them boil for 10 minutes on high flame until they are well cooked and the skin is almost peeling off. Once done, switch the gas off .


2.Strain the tomatoes ,peel the skin off , roughy chop them and transfer them in a bowl.


1.In a pan, add olive oil ,butter,garlic ,and let it fry for a few minutes until slightly brown. Add the chopped tomatoes ,salt , pepper and fresh basil leaves and let it cook for 10-12 minutes or until the sauce it cooked .


2.In a pan, add olive oil, garlic and mushrooms and fry it until it’s cooked . Keep it aside .


3.Cook the pasta as per the packet instructions.


4.In a pan , add olive it , add the cooked tomato sauce , mushrooms, boiled pasta and give it a good mix . Add some more fresh basil leaves .


5.Add lots of fresh parmesan cheese and serve hot.
