This is a refreshing ,healthy, easy and delicious orange pound cake is made with oatmeal and whole wheat flour, is perfect as a tea time snack, or if you are craving something sweet !

Ingredients
Butter -230 gm
Raw Brown sugar/jaggery powder 200 gm
Eggs 3
Orange zest of 3 oranges
Baking powder 1 tsp
Salt a pinch
Milk 120 ml
Whole wheat flour 140 gm
Oatmeal flour 140 gm
Orange syrup
Orange juice 3 tbsp
Brown sugar 70gm
Orange drizzle -(optional)-avoid it for a healthier option.
Icing sugar -3 tbsp
Orange juice -2-3 tsp
Directions
Pre-heat the oven to180 and line a grease a baking tin with baking paper.
In a bowl, add sugar ,orange juice and mix it well & keep it aside.
In a bowl add butter,sugar & orange zest. Mix it well . Add eggs one at a time and vanila extract .
In another bowl add both the flours ,baking powder and salt .
Now add the dry ingredients,orange juice mixture and the butter and sugar mixture and mix it all together using a hand mixer
Transfer the cake batter into the prepared baking tin,smooth out the top, and bake in the pre-heated oven at (180 ºC) for 35-40 minutes or until risen, golden brown on top and an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Allow to cool in the loaf tin for about 15 minutes, then remove from the tin, and allow to cool completely on a cooling rack.
For orange drizzle
Stir the powdered sugar and orange juice together until you get a thick even mixture, mixing well, until you get the correct icing consistency..You can add more juice to make it runnier, or more powdered sugar to make it thicker, as required.
Drizzle the icing over the cooled cake and enjoy.
