These wholesome oatmeal muffins are the perfect healthy snack for those sweet cravings.My kids love to carry these to school in their tiffin box and a few extras for all her friends at school.These are perfect to make for all the playdates and occasions the kids have at home.I have used organic jaggery powder and whole wheat flour in place of refined white sugar and refined flour which add no nutritional value and are processed.
Ingredients
Whole wheat flour-60 gm
Organic jaggery powder- 50gm
Butter-50 gm
Egg- 1
Baking powder-3 gm
Vanilla extract-1 ml
Rolled organic/steel cut oats-10 gm
Method
1.In a bowl add all the ingredients together and mix well to make a batter.
2.Now preheat the oven at 180 degree for 10 minutes.
3.Transfer the batter into a well butter greased muffin mould until 3/4 full and sprinkle the oats on top of the batter and transfer this mould into a hot oven for 20-25 minutes or until done.
4.Once done allow the muffins to cool for a bit.Serve warm.
Health/Cooking Tip
1.Use organic whole wheat flour/almond flour instead of refined flour for health benefits
2.Use a an organic vanilla extract instead of the commercial vanilla essence which contain preservatives and artificial colours.
3.Use raw organic jaggery powder instead of refined sugar.
