Healthy chicken nuggets


This recipe is a quick ,delicious and a much healthier version of the traditional store bought deep fried chicken nuggets. You can prepare this mouthwatering comfort food for your kids without the guilt! Give this a try and I guarantee you'll be hooked on to it.You can serve this with a salad ,your favourite dip or mayonnaise.

Ingredients


Chicken -175 gm

Garlic -3

Salt & black pepper powder-to taste

Arrowroot powder-2 tbsp (healthier substitute of cornflour)

Egg-1

Breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat or multigrain)-4tbsp

Cheese-2 tbsp (parmesan or Amul cheese cube)

Almond powder(blended raw almonds) - 1 tbsp (optional)

Olive oil-2 tbsp


Directions



1.Marinade the chicken with garlic, salt and pepper and keep it aside for 15 minutes.


2.In a plate , add breadcrumbs,cheese, almonds powder and salt and give it a good mix and keep it aside .


3.In a small bowl , crack and egg ,give it a good mix and keep it aside.


4.In a pan add olive oil. Take the marinated chicken, coat it properly with arrowroot flour ,then dip it the egg followed by the breadcrumbs mixture and let it cook for a few minutes on both the sides or until the chicken is well cooked ,golden brown & crunchy.


5.Serve this with a salad , or your favourite dip or mayonnaise . Serve hot.
