Hara Bhara Kebabs

Hara bhara kebab is a very popular and a delicious Indian appetiser made with spinach, peas and cottage cheese.These are easy to prepare , highly nutritious and can be prepared in under 30 minutes.






Some of the ingredients used in this recipe are







Ingredients


 Chana dal(spilt chickpea lentils)-60gm

  Green peas-110gm

  Spinach leaves -300 gm

  Paneer/Cottage cheese-200 gm

  Garlic-1/2 tbsp

  Breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)-8 tbsp

  Salt-to taste

  Garam masala -1.5 tsp


1. In a cooker add channa dal ,2 cups of water and give it 6-8 whistles and let it cook. Alternatively, in a saucepan add water and boil the channa dal until it's cooked . Once done ,strain it and keep it aside.


2. In another saucepan, add water add green peas and let it simmer until it's cooked. Strain the water and keep it aside. In another saucepan add water blanch the spinach well and keep it aside.


3. Once done, transfer the blanched spinach in a mixer grinder add garlic,ginger,green chillies ,cooked channa dal, boiled green peas, salt and garam masala powder and churn it well. Transfer this into a bowl add some paneer ,bread crumbs and mix it well.


4. Once done take some of this mixture in your palms and make round cutlets and keep them aside.


5.In a plate add breadcrumbs and dip these cutlets in breadcrumbs until they are well coated.


6.In a pan, add oil and fry these cutlet until they are crispy. Garnish with lemon wedges and serve with green
