Fig and walnut salad with Feta cheese


Fig and Walnut Salad with Feta Cheese is a delightful combination of sweet and savoury flavours and a perfect appeiser for any occassion. It’s healthy, delicious and yes … it takes just 15 minutes to prepare this !








Some of the ingredients used in this recipe are







Ingredients


1 cup fresh figs, halved

1/2 cup walnuts, roasted and caramelised with honey

1 tsp honey

1/2 cup crumbled /cube feta cheese

4 cups mixed salad greens (e.g., arugula, spinach, or mixed greens)

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp black raisins /cranberries.



Ingredients for the dressing


Olive oil-2 tsp

Lemon juice-5 tsp

Raw brown sugar -2 tbsp

salt & pepper-to taste

Dijon mustard -2 tsp



Instructions


1.Wash and dry the salad greens thoroughly.


2.In a large salad bowl, combine the mixed greens.


3.Cut fresh figs into halves and add them to the salad.Sprinkle the caramelised walnuts over the salad.


4.Crumble Feta Cheese.Crumble the feta cheese over the salad.


5.In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon, dijon mustard, salt, and pepper and keep it aside.


6.Pour the dressing over the salad, ensuring even distribution. Gently toss the salad to coat the ingredients with the dressing.


7.Plate the salad on individual serving plates or a large serving platter. Garnish with black raisins/cranberries.Serve cold.
