If you've got friends coming over,then have to try making these delicious prawn tacos! The prawns are marinated in a zingy chipotle lime marinade,seared and then gently tucked in soft tortillas along wth a creamy Toco-slaw dressing.
Some of the ingredients used in this recipe are
Ingredients for the marinade
Prawns- 170 gm
Lemon juice- 1/2
Lemon rind/zest - 1/2 lemon
Chipotle chillies- 2 tbsp (I bought mine from amazon)
Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp
Garlic-2-3
Olive oil- 1 tbsp
Salt and pepper- to taste
Ingredients for the coleslaw
Cabbage-60 gm
Onion- 1 tbsp
Lemon juice- 1/2 lemon
Yogurt- 3 tbsp
Extra virgin olive oil- 1 tbsp
Salt and pepper- taste
Ingredients for the sauce
Yogurt- 1 tsp
Siracha chili sauce-1 tbsp
Additional ingredients
Pita bread/ tacos/ tortilla - to make the tacos
Directions
1.In bowl add all the ingredients for the coleslaw and mix it well. Keep it aside
2.In a bowl , add the ingredients for the sauce and keep it aside.
3.In a bowl marinade the prawns along with all the ingredients mentioned for the marinade and let it rest for 15 minutes.
4.In a pan, add olive oil and fry the prawns until they are cooked.
5.Now assemble the tacos by taking pita bread , adding the coleslaw, prawns and pour the sauce on top. Gen fold the tacosand enjoy. Serve hot.
