Creamy mashed potatoes


This creamy mashed potatoes recipe is shockingly good! It has just 5 simple ingredients,but there is a simple secret that makes the texture of this dish so velvety and rich.

Ingredients


Potatoes -4

Milk -1/2 cup

Butter-3 tsp

Salt & pepper - to taste

Cream- 1 tsp


Directions


1.In a saucepan, add water and bring it to a boil. Add the potatoes and let it boil for 15 minutes on high flame or until very soft. Alternatively pressure cook the potatoes and give it 8-10 whistles.


2.Once they are ready ,let them cool. Peel the skin and keep them in a bowl. Using a potato masher ,mash them gently until they have been properly mashed.


3.Using the whisk attachment on your hand /stand mixer ,start off slowly and mash the potatoes and then gently move to a medium speed . Gently add the hot milk and continue whisking it until you reach the desired texture .


4.Slowly add the softened butter and continue whisking . Finally add some salt & pepper . The mashed potatoes will now be whipped,velvety and fluffy and ready to eat.
