This ceaser salad is a classic , delicious ,easy and healthy recipe which can be prepared really quickly. It’s perfect for a light lunch or as a delicious and wholesome appetiser!
Some of the ingredients used in this recipe are
Ingredients for the dressing:
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 anchovy fillets, minced (optional, but traditional).I haven’t used this in my recipe
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste
Honey- dash to taste
Olive oil- a dash (optional)
For the salad:
1 large head of romaine lettuce, washed and chopped
1 cup croutons
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Grilled chicken breast or avocado
Instructions
1.In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, minced anchovies (if using), Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce.
2.Add the mayonnaise and grated Parmesan cheese to the bowl and whisk until the dressing is smooth and well combined. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. If the dressing is too thick, you can thin it out with a little bit of water.
3.In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce and croutons.
4.Pour the Caesar dressing over the lettuce and croutons, then toss until everything is evenly coated.
5.Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the salad.
6.If desired, add grilled chicken breast or avocado on top of the salad.
7.Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious homemade Caesar salad!
