This mouthwatering and healthy steamed fish is an authentic Bengali style preperation known as "Macher Paturi" which means steamed fish wrapped in banana leaves. This dish is not only delicious but is very easy to prepare and is very nutritious.
Some of the ingredients used in this recipe are
Ingredients for the marinade
Fish- 3 fillets
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Salt -to taste
Curd- 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Mustard oil- 1 tsp
Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
Mustard paste- 1 -2 tbsp (recipe given bellow) (This adds all the flavour to this dish )
Ingredients for the mustard paste
1 tbsp black mustard seeds+2 tbsp white mustard seeds)
Onion- 1 medium
Green chillies- 2-3
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Water a little bit to grind it OR a lille mustard oil

Marinade the fish with the above ingredients
Directions
1.Put all of the above ingredients in a blender and blend it until its a smooth
2.Take banana leaves, add the marinated fish in it and wrap it up well. Pan fry it for 8-10 minute or until it’s well cooked. Garnish with a fried and slit green chili and enjoy.
