Baked fish in a creamy lemon sauce


This quick and delicious one pan recipe is made with just a few ingredients and can be prepared in less than 30 minutes. 






Some of the ingredients used in this rceipe are








Ingredients for the fish


Fish -230 gm 

Garlic -1 tbsp 

Salt and pepper to taste 

Olive oil- 1 tbsp 


Ingredients for the sauce


Olive oil -1 .5 tbsp 

Butter 1 tbsp 

Garlic -1 tbsp 

Onion-1/2 finely chopped 

Salt and pepper -to taste 

Djorn mustard -1.5 tsp

Raw brown sugar- a pinch (optional)

Lemon juice- 1/4 lemon 

Cooking cream -2 tbsp 

Water/stock - couple of spoons for a smooth consistency for the sauce 


For Garnish


Lemon wedges -a few 

Parsley -to sprinkle 


Directions


1.Marinade the fish in the above mentioned ingredients and let it rest for 15 minutes.


2.For the suace , take a pan , add the olive oil , butter , garlic and onions and let it sauté for for 2 minutes or until the onions are slightly brown. Now , add salt ,pepper ,djorn mustard , a pinch of brown sugar (optional) ,lemon juice , stock/water and cooking cream and let it simmer for a few minutes until you get a creamy consistency . 


3.Pre heat the oven to 180 C. In a baking tray , place the marinated fish , add the creamy sauce on top of the fish and make sure the fish it well coated . 


4.Bake the fish for 12-13 minutes or until it’s properly cooked. 


5.Once done , remove it from the oven ,transfer it on a serving plate . Garnish with lemon wedges and parsley and serve hot.
