Authentic creamy & the best Lebanese hummus

This is seriously the best,creamiest & tastiest hummus recipe ever. It can be served with pita bread, kebabs or as a dip by itself. Its packed with protein, can be made in fifteen minutes or less and is a perfect side dish for an evening snack or easy entertaining 








Some of the ingredients used in this recipe are






Ingredients


Boiled chickpeas-250 gm+1 tbsp for garnishing

Water-enough to soak the boiled chickpeas

Ice cubes-3-4

Garlic cloves-4-5

Tahini paste-3 tbsp

Lemon juice-3 tbsp

Extra virgin olive oil-1.5 tbsp for garnishing

Paprika powder and parsley-for garnishing & as per taste



Method


1.In a bowl,add the boiled chickpeas and add enough water to soak them in Gently, peel off the skin of these chickpeas.This is an important step as this gives it a very creamy texture once done.

2.Tranfer these peeled chickpeas in a mixie & blend it.Once done,add ice cubes, garlic,tahini paste, lemon juice and churn it again in a mixie for a few minutes until the consistency is smooth.Add a tbsp of water if required but make sure the consistency is very thick & creamy.

3.Tranfer this into a bowl. Garnish with olive oil, paprika,boiled chickpeas & parsley. Serve cold with pita bread or as a dip.



Health/cooking tips


  1. Soak organic chickpeas and soak them overnight and then boil them instead of using canned chickpeas which may contain preservatives.

  2. Grind the chickpeas for a good amount of time until you get a smooth and creamy consistency.

  3. Ice cubes help in making the texture of the hummus very smooth and creamy.

  4. Use extra virgin olive oil which helps in enhancing the flavour of the hummus.
